Rossliminal

Liminal

adjective

TECHNICAL
1.   relating to a transitional or initial stage of a process.

2.   occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.

My full name is Rosslyn and like all of us I am more than any one label, e.g NVC trainer. Liminal describes for me the space I often seek to inhabit, beyond right/wrong thinking, a creative, imaginative place between chaos and order. Wider than the chaordic path described in the Art of Hosting.

It is a valid place to be in itself. In the words of Dr. Lucy Aphramor, “the caterpillar and the chrysalis belong here entirely in their own time and niche and skin, not just as a would be moth, not as a could be butterfly. Here. Now. Enough.”*

Sometimes for me this gets expressed in words and sometimes in artwork. Sometimes it is the best way to describe my experience as a Community Worker, Coach,  Trainer, Counsellor and as a parent where there are few rules and lots of living with the discomfort of not knowing and doing the best I can with what I have now.
